At our proudly female-led distillery, every bottle of Tequila Travesuras begins with years of intention. Our blue agave is grown slowly and mindfully, drawing strength from the Mexican sun until it's perfectly ripe for harvest.
With expert hands, our Jimadoras select each piña at just the right moment—before flowering, when the plant is at its sweetest and most flavourful. It’s not about speed or shortcuts—it’s about honouring the process, the land, and the spirit of tequila done right.
Crafted the Right Way, Never the Easy Way The heart of our tequila lies in the art of slow cooking.
Using traditional adobe ovens and time-honored techniques, we gently bake our piñas to bring out their natural, caramelized richness. Then, we extract the golden nectar—aguamiel, or "honey water" — with our century-old stone mill, the Tahona. From here, we let nature do its thing. The extracted juice ferments slowly, transforming into the foundation of our spirit, rich in character, depth, and authenticity.
